I was at Kohl's the other day and they were putting up the Christmas trees and ornaments. Halloween decorations are on clearance, everything 50% off.
I told Lisa about this and she wasn't surprised; she says that last year she was the one putting up the Kohl's Christmas trees in September.

Labor Day Weekend
Mom saw a snake in the yard the other day. It was at the bottom of the deck steps, and quickly slithered into its snake hole. I am 99.9% certain it was a Garter Snake but Mom insists it was either a King Cobra or a Black Mamba.
Quiet weekend. Kelsey spent the night at Sam's Corn House in Kankakee. She says she has seen enough corn to last her for quite a while. The highlights of her trip were playing on the slippy slide and exploring an old tractor shed. She said the shed was creepy, filled with cobwebs and old junk. They opened the door to a room and saw walls hung with rusty blades and instruments of torture. It was the just like the moment in the movies where everyone screams "Look behind you!" or "Duck!". They fled back to the Corn House screaming like little girls.
